SRIRACHA CHICKEN WINGS
Looking for something easy, delicious and mouth-watering, look no further. Staying true to braai month, we bring you these Cape Herb & Spice Sriracha Chilli Seasoning Chicken wings as well as a complimentary cucumber and onion salad. This will most definitely ensure your taste buds are satisfied and your tummy enriched.
With a few simple steps, do enjoy this finger-licking dish any day of the week.
- WHAT YOU WILL NEED -
- ¼ cup honey, warmed for easy mixing
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp garlic, grated
- 1 Tbsp ginger, grated
- 1 Tbsp SRIRACHA CHILLI
- 1kg chicken wings, cut into drumettes and flats
- FOR THE CUCUMBER SALAD
- 2 Tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 Tbsp lime juice
- 1 Tbsp sesame oil
- 1 Tbsp honey
- Pinch sea salt flakes
- 1 tsp SRIRACHA CHILLI
- 1 red onion, sliced into petals
- 2 cucumbers, sliced
- Sesame seeds & fresh limes for serving
- METHOD -
Start off by combining all the salad dressing ingredients together and mix well. Add the cucumber and red onion slices and toss well. Reserve in the fridge.
For the chicken wings, combine all marinade ingredients and whisk together well. Following that, add the chicken wings into the marinade and marinate for one hour in the fridge.
Braai the chicken wings on a medium hot braai until cooked through. Assemble the wings on a platter and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Serve with cucumber salad on the side and fresh lime wedges. Enjoy.
