PREP TIME: 20 mins | COOKING TIME: 10 mins

For the Arayes:

Add the beef mince, onion, garlic and parsley to a large mixing bowl.

Season with Cape Herb & Spice Chilli Crunch.

Mix well until everything is evenly combined.

Cut each pita in half so you have 4 thin circles.

Divide the mince into 4.

Press a thin, even layer of the mince mixture firmly onto the inside of each pita half, right up to the edges.

Heat a large cast-iron frying pan over medium-high heat and lightly drizzle with olive oil.

Cook pitas smash-taco style.

Place the pitas mince side down in the hot pan and press firmly with a spatula.

Cook for about 3-4 minutes, until the beef is browned and cooked through.

Flip and cook for another minute or two on the other side until the pita is golden and crunchy.

For the salad:

Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl.

Dress lightly with a little olive oil and vinegar.

Season with Cape Herb & Spice Salt and Pepper.

Mix well.

To serve:

Place the hot and crispy arayes onto a plate.

Swish with a little plain yoghurt.

Spoon over some of the salad.

Pick up and fold in half to bite into them and enjoy!
