The Cape Herb & Spice sales department is looking for a dynamic Sales Administrator to join the local sales team and support the growth of our brands.

Purpose:

  • Assist our Local Operations and Key Account Manager with all sales administrative duties
  • To provide support for Key Account Managers when they are away from the office

Key Functional Areas

Order Cycle Implementation

  • Load all customer Purchase Orders and relevant jobs where applicable
  • Communicate Sales Orders internally to ensure all departments are aware of requirements and input needed. Highlight any risks to KAM (Key Accounts Manager)
  • Communicate and confirm Sales Orders with customers
  • Book deliveries with customers
  • Check open back orders and jobs and set relevant to complete
  • Coordinate stock upliftment bookings
  • Maintain Local dispatch list

Other

  • Assist KAM with interdepartmental communication and follow up
  • Assist KAM with customer communication and follow up
  • Providing general assistance and administration support to KAM
  • Coordinate Samples
  • Arrange courier & related functions
  • Assist with maintaining sample room including stock take
  • Assist with workload within the rest of the department as needed

Required knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent computer skills
  • Good email and telephone etiquette
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely

Required Prior Learning/ Experience:

  • Matric, relevant tertiary qualifications advantageous
  • Minimum of 2-5 years administrative experience
  • FMCG experience advantageous
  • Syspro or ERP system experience advantageous

  • Ability to work under pressure and multi-task
  • A proactive approach and ability to use initiative
  • Team player with strong work ethic
