We are looking for a full time Development Technologist to join our New Product Development team. Essential to have at least 1-2 years technical experience in the food industry (ideally in Product Development).

Roles & Responsibilities
The development technologist needs to execute the product development process within given deadlines ensuring product conforms to country specific regulations on product and packaging and all stages are accurately completed and recorded (meticulously filed). This involves:
1.    Sustainable and compliant sourcing of new raw materials and packaging 
2.    Recipe development and costings
3.    Packaging development and costings 
4.    Review of product labels for legislative and customer compliance
5.    Creating raw material buying specifications
6.    Creating finished product and in process specifications
7.    Conducting factory trials and travel tests as required
8.    Technical support to other departments: QA, Operations and Sales alike
9.    Thorough communication (relating to new products) between internal departments
10.    Meticulous execution of development departments procedures
11.    Ensure product detail on internal system, in departments and on shared drive are all accurate and product is as per customer requirement

•    Tertiary qualification in Food Science or Technology
•    Strong admin and analytical ability
•    A sense of urgency
•    Strong project management and coordination skill
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels, both written and verbal.

•    Passion for food and cookery will be advantageous

•    Own transport between sites necessary
•    Syspro experience advantageous
•    BRC / audit experience advantageous
