Maintenance Technician

Duties: 
•    Conduct routine maintenance checks of plant, equipment and machinery as per DMS 
•    Attend to breakdowns timeously 
•    Ensure that workshop and toolbox is always clean and tidy  
•    Proactively inform Lead Tech when stock is running low 
•    Maintenance tech delivers high standards of cleanliness and reliability of production machinery and factory facilities 
•    Maintain and update maintenance system records on DMS from time to time when needed to do so 
•    Issuing of permit to work for contractors when requested to do so 
•    Ensure contract compliance with company HSE rules and policies 
•    Continually work to enable the site to achieve key objectives of safety, quality and service 
•    Perform maintenance related administrative duties as required 
•    Co-ordinate external maintenance services by contractors 
•    Conduct Health and Safety functions 
•    Coordinate contractors on site 
•    Need to be familiar CMMS Systems 
•    Swift reaction to breakdowns 
•    Electrical and pneumatic problem solving 

Requirements: 
•    Qualified Artisan: Millwright or Fitter
•    5 years doing maintenance in a manufacturing plant after qualification

Experience 
•    Fault finding on packing lines 
•    Basic welding (Argon Gas) 
•    Wiring
