Improvement Technologist

Key Responsibilities:

•    To ensure that non-conformances are correctly identified, well executed, communicated and resolved
•    To ensure that improvements identified through the non-conformance system are well executed
•    Project manage the improvement projects

Key Position Objective: 

Ensure that there is timeous and effective support on the factory floor
Ensure that sustainable solutions are developed and implemented for non-conformances
Meet internal quality team goals / objectives set.

Key Functional Areas:

•    Investigating and resolving non-conformances
•    Identify non-conformance trends & the root cause of these trends
•    Problem solving related to non-conformances
•    Project manage improvement projects
•    Reviewing and evaluating freezer loggers 
•    Conduct regular factory inspections & report results
•    Verify quality control records
•    Release incoming materials from the inspection system
•    Technical and factory support

Required Knowledge:

•    Relevant B.Sc degree (e.g. B.Sc Food Science, B. Sc Industrial Engineering) or other relevant science related degree, Copies of qualifications must be submitted with a CV
•    1  years + industry experience 
•    Internal auditor training and HACCP knowledge preferred
•    Proficient in working with Microsoft programs (outlook, excel, word) 
•    Own reliable transport, must be able to travel between sites
