 Purpose:

We are looking for an energetic and experienced data analyst / demand planner to join a vibrant, passionate procurement team. The successful candidate will oversee demand planning and forecasting for packaging and raw materials whilst ensuring availability of all components to fulfil planned production requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·        Planning inventory flow, gathering and analysing statistical and qualitative data to generate forecasts for the procurement team.

·        Developing demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for different time frames and ensuring that supply disruptions are minimised and identified well in advance.

·        Participating in S&OP meetings.

·        Maintaining and updating replenishment master data.

·        Minimising stock holding in line with company KPI’s and driving down dead stock.

·        Implementing collaborative planning, forecasting and replenishment principles.

·        Implementing JIT, Lean & Six Sigma principles with suppliers.

·        Measuring and improving forecast accuracy and optimising planning efficiencies.

·        Building and maintaining constant relationships with sales, marketing, NPD, production, finance, and procurement to understand demand forecasting drivers.

·        Providing input across the organization, when developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs, whilst reducing the cost of write offs.

·        Sending daily/weekly/ Monthly KPI reports.

·        Providing feedback on material availability.

·        Preventing stock outs and new overstocks.

·        Conducting and tracking root cause analysis and taking action to prevent repeat causes.

·        Sending operational risk notes to relevant stakeholders.

Required Knowledge & Skills:

·        Computer Literacy (Microsoft Office) and Excel skills – Advanced level essential.

·        Planning, scheduling and forecasting.

·        MRP Systems (experience on Syspro is advantageous)

·        Analysis and problem-solving skills such as the ability to question, accurately identify a need and present an effective solution.

·        Power BI / Tableau experience is advantageous.

·        Presentation skills.

Required Prior Learning/ Experience:

·        Degree in Supply Chain/ Logistics/ Operations or Engineering required

·        2-3 years’ experience within a similar role

·        Handling and maintaining large data sets.

Personal Characteristics:

·        Strong written & verbal communication.

·        Attention to detail.

·        Ability to translate numbers and data into reliable & visual insights.

·        Ability to follow and understand big picture economic trends.

·        Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
