Purpose of the job:
To ensure that the correct quantity of the correct product is delivered at the correct facility at the correct time and according to the correct CHS quality standards and price. 

Requirements:

  • BCom Honours or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain Management 
  • Excel Skills: moderate to advanced 
  • Power BI Skills: Intermediate to moderate
  • Valid Drivers Licence and own reliable vehicle

Responsibilities:

  • Running daily reports on stock, minimum inventory & production planning 
  • Generate purchase orders on instruction of the buyers / planning category lead
  • Manage OTIF with suppliers by ensuring on time and in full delivery of goods and services
  • Planning and managing call offs, and value of over’s liable / not liable to CHS
  • Spotting and preventing stock outs by actioning production requirements with urgency
  • Managing import suppliers and freight forwarders by measuring their performance
  • Applying for rebate permits and updating rebate registers accordingly
  • Provide support and assistance to buyers
  • Communication & follow-ups with key suppliers on a regular basis
  • Arrange coa’s samples, proforma invoices when required
  • General administration 
  • Update KPI reports 
  • Attend and prepare for weekly operations meetings 
  • Assist with NPD costings 
  • Partake in quarterly stock takes 
  • Manage non-stock purchase orders 
  • Ensure that the due dates on the PO’s generated by you are always kept up to date 
  • Assist with account queries 
  • Prepare for meetings and lead meetings when required. Take meeting minutes are send out action points from the meeting

Please note that all potential candidates will be required to complete a test that will test Excel skills (moderate – advanced), basic arithmetic and a basic understanding of procurement and supply chain management. 

Candidate who wish to go the extra mile can study up on the below: 
•    Basic knowledge of programs such as Power BI (alternatively Tableau or Qlik) 
•    Basic understanding of what SQL is. 
•    Basic DDMRP calculations 

The test will contain a ‘bonus’ section that will focus on these concepts.
