BLACK PEPPERED ASIAN NOODLES

BLACK PEPPERED ASIAN NOODLES

Quick and easy personified and you can personalise it by sticking with our vegetarian recipe suggestion, or adding a meat of choice (we suggest chicken). This street-food style Asian favourite is light on the tummy but bold on the tongue - the perfect mid-week meal for any season.  

-YOU WILL NEED-

For the sauce~

2Tbsp sesame oil

2 tsp fresh ginger, crushed

1 tsp garlic, crushed

¼ cup soy sauce

Honey to taste

1 tsp sesame seeds

2 Tbsp rice wine

1 Tbsp Cape Herb & Spice Black Pepper (new ceramic grinder - available this summer in Pick & Pay stores, SA)

For the stir fry~

1 Tbsp olive oil

Assorted fresh greens: broccolini, bok choy, baby spinach and any other of choice

1 Cup Udon noodles, par-cooked

-HOW IT'S DONE-

Whisk all the sauce ingredients together in a small bowl then place a pan/ wok over a medium heat and add the olive oil. Toss the greens into the heated pan and stir fry until just cooked but still crunchy. Add the Udon noodles followed by the black pepper sauce and continue to stir fry for a few more minutes, tossing to combine well. Serve with a sprinkling of sesame seeds. Simply add stir fried chicken strips and a squeeze of lime for a well rounded dish.
