Junior Export Account Executive

 Overview

The export division of Cape Herb & Spice is looking for a dynamic Trainee Account Executive to join the team.  Work with customers across the globe and deliver proactive service together with what are, probably, the best spice products in the world. 

This position spans 3 business categories - Spice, Tea and Gifting and works with both branded and private label product.    Challenges abound in this fast paced and pressurised position that offers the opportunity to learn about international business, food and what it takes to be at the top of your industry.

Duties and responsibilities

• Assisting to manage and oversee international customers/accounts
• Establish, maintain and develop long term business relationships
• Sales planning and forecasting
• Assisting to drive new product development and innovation across the broad spectrum of the business
• Assisting with new business development
• Order monitoring and cross departmental liaison
• Customer communication

Qualifications & Experience:
 

• BCOM degree/equivalent
• Sales experience would be advantageous (FMCG)
• Experience in sales management and customer account management advantageous
• Experience in export sales would be advantageous

• Strong written communication and ability to convey information clearly and concisely
• Ability to work under pressure
• Computer literate
• Attention to detail
• Strong problem solving capabilities
• Enthusiastic and energetic
• Ability to work in a team and independently
• Numeracy would be advantageous
