The export division of Cape Herb & Spice is looking for a dynamic Key Account Manager to join the team.  Work with customers across the globe and deliver proactive service together with what are, probably, the best spice products in the world. 

This position spans 3 business categories - Spice, Tea and Gifting and works with both branded and private label product.    Challenges abound in this fast paced and pressurised position that offers the opportunity to learn about international business, food and what it takes to be at the top of your industry.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Managing and overseeing international customers/accounts
  • Establish, maintain and develop long term business relationships
  • Sales planning and forecasting
  • Driving new product development and innovation across the broad spectrum of the business
  • New business development
  • Order management and cross departmental liasion
  • Customer communication

Qualifications & Experience:

  • BCOM degree/equivalent
  • five - 10 years' sales experience (FMCG)
  • Experience in sales management and customer account management
  • Experience in export sales would be advantageous

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong written communication and ability to convey information clearly and concisely
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Computer literate
  • Available to travel abroad
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong problem solving capabilities
  • Enthusiastic and energetic

  • Numeracy would be advantageous
